Diagonals cutting across a dark page

Flat bands of red, blue, yellow and green run through the photograph at speed, and oversized characters are cropped by the edge on purpose.

Why this shop refuses to sit still

This storefront is built on one device: a dark field, a real photograph, and flat colour bands thrown across it at an angle. Type is oversized and allowed to run off the edge, so a page always feels like one frame lifted out of something longer. Colour is limited to four flats plus cream, which keeps the noise structural rather than decorative. Steam off the cup is the only soft edge in the layout, and the bands are cut hard against it. The cup, the steam and the leaf were all in front of a camera — only the bands were added afterwards.
